PASO ROBLES — Effective January 1, 2024, the County of San Luis Obispo Clerk-Recorder’s Office will have new hours and an increase in fees for recorded documents. The new hours will be Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Fri from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the last transactions accepted at 4:30 p.m. On Wednesday, the office will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the last transactions accepted at 3:30 p.m. After 4:30 (3:30 on Wednesday), the public kiosks will be open and staff will be available to answer questions for another 30 minutes. Documents presented after the 4:30/3:30 cut-off time will be processed the next day.
The change in hours will allow the Clerk-Recorder’s Office to regularly conduct important all-staff meetings and employee training while minimizing overtime expenses.
In addition to the new hours, January 1 will also bring a $2 increase in the recording fee for the first page of any document, along with increases in Fish and Wildlife CEQA document fees. More information about the increases and a complete fee schedule can be
