All pet O’doption fees reduced to $70 from March 15-17
SAN LUIS OBISPO — From March 15 to 17, Woods Humane Society will celebrate “St. PET-rick’s Day,” reducing adoption fees for all animals to just $70 (plus license fees for adult dogs).
“Not only is St. Patrick’s Day this weekend, but mid-March is also the time of year when we start to field increasing requests to shelter puppies and kittens as baby season gets under way,” says Woods CEO Emily L’Heureux.
She notes that Woods has already found homes for 116 puppies and kittens in 2024, and has 30 babies currently in foster care. With the warmer days of spring arriving, those numbers will rise dramatically.
“Our hope is that this fun event will help our dogs, cats, puppies and kittens find some good luck and a loving family, while also helping us make room for the many animals still in need of our care.”
The St. PET-rick’s Day promotion begins Friday, March 15, and runs through Sunday, March 17, 2024. All adoptable animals have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, licensed, and treated for parasites. Adoptions also include a voluntary 30 days of pet insurance and a free wellness exam at a local vet clinic.
Woods Humane Society is located at 875 Oklahoma Ave., San Luis Obispo, and at 2300 Ramona Rd., Atascadero, and is open to the public daily from 12 to 5 p.m., with adoption hours from 12 to 4 p.m. For more information about Woods, visit WoodsHumane.orgor call (805) 543-9316.
