ATASCADERO — Atascadero Fire and Emergency Services responded to a hay trailer fire at 6280 Morro Road on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 2:54 p.m. Upon arrival, firefighters found a pickup truck towing a flatbed trailer with 48 bales of hay fully engulfed in flames. Fortunately, the fire did not extend to the truck itself.

A total of 10 personnel were deployed to the scene, along with engines B7510, E7591, and E7592. Due to the significant amount of hay involved, the City’s backhoe was requested to assist with overhaul operations. The fire was brought under control within one hour, with no injuries reported among firefighters or civilians. The cause of the fire remains undetermined.
