ATASCADERO — Atascadero Fire & Emergency Services has announced that fuels mitigation crews will be working along Santa Cruz Road from Santa Ana Road to Garcia Road on Tuesday, May 27, through Wednesday, May 28.

The project involves roadside brushing to clear overgrown vegetation, reduce wildfire risk, improve visibility, and ensure better emergency vehicle access. Work is being done in partnership with the San Luis Obispo County Fire Safe Council and is funded by a fuels mitigation grant awarded to the City of Atascadero.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution, reduce speed, and watch for crews and equipment. Temporary delays may occur.
