Atascadero Police invite community to Coffee with a Cop Event

ATASCADERO — The Atascadero Police Department is inviting residents to attend Coffee with a Cop on Wednesday, June 24, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Joebella Coffee Roasters.

The event offers community members an opportunity to meet with local officers in an informal setting, ask questions, discuss concerns, and learn more about public safety issues affecting the community. Police officials say the program is designed to encourage open dialogue and strengthen relationships between law enforcement and residents outside of emergency situations.

Attendees will also have the chance to meet K9 Pomic, one of the department’s police dogs. Officers will share information about the role K9 units play in law enforcement, and visitors will be able to take photos with the popular four-legged officer.

The department encourages residents to stop by for coffee and conversation, whether they are interested in learning more about police services, discussing community concerns, or simply meeting the officers who serve Atascadero.
