Atascadero to host inaugural Contractors Cornhole Showdown June 6

ATASCADERO — The City of Atascadero will host the inaugural Contractors Cornhole Showdown Tournament on Saturday, June 6, at the Sunken Gardens in downtown Atascadero, bringing a full day of competitive and community cornhole action to the North County.

Organized in partnership with the Builders Exchange of the Central Coast, the event will feature a 4-game round robin format beginning at 9:30 a.m., followed by bracket play at 2 p.m. Teams of two can register for an $80 donation per team, with trophies and cash prizes awarded in Advanced, Competitive, Social, and Adaptive divisions.

Additional games including long toss, airmail, and knockout competitions will be offered during intermission, along with cash prizes for winners. Vendors, sponsorship opportunities, and raffle drawings will also be part of the event, which benefits the North County Adaptive Sports and Recreation Program and the Builders Exchange Scholarship Program.

Food will be available on-site from vendors including Dave’s Dog and the Huatulco Tacos food truck, with additional dining options located nearby in downtown Atascadero. Registration is first come, first served, and organizers encourage participants to use the Scoreholio app to expedite check-in.
