As companies across the state continue to lay off employees while COVID cases increase, Meathead Movers, San Luis Obispo student athlete moving company, seeks to hire at least 35 team members by Aug. 1. Earlier this year, the company was fast to implement aggressive new safety measures to align with CDC and OSHA guidelines throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Similarly, these safety measures will be upheld during the interview and orientation processes for new hires.

“We have learned that COVID-19 is not preventing people from moving, in fact, there seems to be an increased desire to relocate during the pandemic,” said Aaron Steed, co-founder and CEO of Meathead Movers. “We need to hire at least 35 Movers and Packers in San Luis Obispo to meet the demand of the community and we’re committed to doing it in the safest way possible.”

Movers and Packers will start at $15 per hour plus tips. Other benefits of the job include:

  • Employees get paid to work out and travel the country
  • We offer military-inspired leadership training programs to all employees
  • Flexible schedules are available to accommodate school and athletic commitments
  • Gyms and computer labs are onsite at all branches
  • All employees have the ability to give back to the community by offering no-cost moves to victims of domestic violence

“We are grateful that we are able to offer employment during a time of such hardship for many, and we hope that our new employees will understand the great responsibility that we’re giving them,” continued Steed. “We plan to uphold the high standards of our winning team to best serve our customers who need to move right now.”
