Garden Party opens Atascadero’s ‘Saturday in the Park’ Concert Series

ATASCADERO — The City of Atascadero will launch its “Saturday in the Park” Summer Concert Series with a performance by Garden Party on Saturday, June 20, at 6:30 p.m. at the Atascadero Lake Park Bandstand.

Led by musician Danny Grasseschi, Garden Party features veteran Central Coast performers playing classic folk rock hits from the 1960s and 1970s. The group has performed together for more than a decade, bringing audiences a mix of well-known songs inspired by the era’s message of peace, love, and good vibrations.

Concertgoers can also enjoy food available for purchase from Huatulco Tacos and Paradise Shaved Ice during the evening.

The free concert is the first in an eight-show series running through Aug. 29. Upcoming performances include The Rockin’ Bs Band on June 27, Ghost Monster on July 11, PUSH on July 25, Josh Rosenblum Band on Aug. 1, Lady and The Tramps on Aug. 8, The Electric Lavender Train on Aug. 15, and The Cinders Blues Band on Aug. 29.

Attendees are encouraged to bring low-back chairs and enjoy the outdoor performances at the lakefront venue. The concert series is sponsored by several local businesses and organizations, including Mechanics Bank as the series sponsor.
