The Spring Concert Series is held every Saturday evening through April 23
ATASCADERO — The City of Atascadero has announced the next concert for the new Spring Concert Series for 2022, to be held every Saturday evening through April 23. Their concert this Saturday, April 16, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Historic City Hall and Sunken Gardens in Downtown Atascadero will be with Back Bay Betty.
Back Bay Betty is a 5-piece dance band from Baywood Park known for creative original music and covers by classic and contemporary rock, blues, soul and jazz artists. Local favorite Linda Martin fronts the group from her keyboard with a bold, soulful voice.
Accompanying Linda is Rob Espinosa on guitar and vocals with Eric Stever on saxophone and vocals. Rounding out the rhythm section are Mark Walters on bass guitar and vocals and Don Utterback on drums and vocals. The group travels with their very own multi-instrumentalist audio engineer Matt Vargo.
Bring your wallet, as the new Spring Concert Series will have a variety of entertainment for the kids with two bounce houses, plus delicious concert fare will be available for purchase with options including Taqueria Don Jose, Zen Dog, and Paradise Shaved Ice. In addition, Atascadero Fire and Emergency Services will be on hand with collector merchandise celebrating “100 Years of Service” to our community.
The Spring Concert Series runs through four Saturdays starting April 2 through April 23, as follows:
- April 2, Burning James All-Stars (Blues & Rock)
- April 9, Carbon City Lights (Alternative Rock, Folk, Pop & rock)
- April 16, Back Bay Betty (Contemporary Rock, Blues, Soul, Jazz)
- April 23, Sōleffect (Blues, funk, rock, reggae band)
Concerts are free to the public and everyone is encouraged to bring a blanket, low-back chair, and the entire family to relish the beautiful spring evenings in Atascadero. All concerts are rain or shine.
