Teachers offered discounted $15 tickets in honor of National Teacher Appreciation Week

ATASCADERO — The Atascadero Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Cinco de Mayo Sip & Shop in downtown Atascadero on Friday, May 5, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 until April 28, and $25 between April 29 and May 4. Online ticket sales close at noon on May 5. A limited number of tickets will be available to purchase in-person for $30 at the event. Every ticket comes with a complimentary wine glass donated by Eberle Winery.

Nationwide, May 7-13 is Teacher Appreciation Week. 

According to Montse Cross, Sip & Shop event coordinator, “Our local teachers work hard to inspire our kids each and every day. As a token of our appreciation, we are offering teachers Sip & Shop tickets for only $15.”

Local teachers can reserve a ticket by calling (805) 466-2044, or visiting the Chamber at 6907 El Camino Real.

At 5:30 p.m., Sip & Shop ticket holders can begin shopping while sipping wine, beer, coffee, cider, and enjoying treats from 30-plus participating businesses.

“This event also serves as the kickoff for the city’s Tamale Festival and if the weather cooperates, a fireworks show will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday evening,” said Cross. “There are so many ways to celebrate spring in Atascadero. We hope to see you there.”
