Atascadero Kiwanis Club took its most recent community service effort underground by painting over graffiti-covered downtown bridges.

Kiwanians Bob Friedrichsen, Tony Villa, Mike Marquez, Bill Minarik and Kathleen Braham attacked the bridges at El Camino Real and Lewis Avenue with buckets of neutral colored paint. They even got some volunteer help from a homeless person they encountered beneath the bridge.
