ATASCADERO — The Atascadero Library has a full lineup of free programs this August for children, teens, and adults at 6555 Capistrano Avenue.
Families with young kids can enjoy Bilingual Storytime every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. and Storytime at Sunken Gardens on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Children of all ages are also invited to read with Jack the therapy dog on Thursdays, August 7 and 21 from 3 to 4:30 p.m., and to enjoy a family movie on August 7 at 2 p.m. For hands-on fun, the Lego Club meets Saturday, August 16 at 2 p.m. (registration required).
Teens can get creative at a bracelet-making workshop on Wednesday, August 6 at 3 p.m., while adults have several engaging options. The TMHA outreach program will be available Wednesdays from 12:30 to 2 p.m. for support with healthcare, housing, and more. Adults can also join Sit & Stitch on August 5 and 19 at 4:30 p.m., participate in a Reverse Coloring Book Craft on August 2 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (registration required), and join the Between the Lines Book Group on August 16 at 10:30 a.m. to discuss Lessons in Chemistry.
To preserve personal history, the library’s Memory Lab Orientation takes place August 9 at 10:30 a.m. and August 26 at 4:30 p.m., offering patrons the tools to digitize old media (registration required).
