The City also gave an update on road closures

ATASCADERO — The City of Atascadero has lifted its shelter-in-place advisory to a weather advisory as of this morning, Tuesday, Jan. 10. There are still many road closures to be aware of.

Following are the current road closures:

  • Halcon River Crossing
  • Santa Ana is closed to through traffic just east of Garcero Road
  • Los Altos is closed to through traffic midway between Hwy. 41 & San Marcos Road
  • Hwy. 41 is closed between San Gabriel & Los Altos.

Multiple trees are also down across Atascadero. The City of Atascadero Fire & Emergency Services and Public Works Departments are working diligently to assess and respond to damage and flooding in the area. The Colony Park Community Center will remain closed today, Tuesday, Jan. 10.

Residents are advised to use caution while driving on local roads and to keep an eye out for workers who are out clearing trees and debris from the roadways and storm drains. They are also reminded to stay safe and stay off the roads if possible.
