Christmas came early for Atascadero High School’s championship robotics team. Recently the Greybots Robotics Team received a donation of $5,890 from Atascadero Kiwanis Club and Knights of Columbus. The money comes from the 4th Annual Atascadero Cornhole Showdown. Since 2009, Team 973 has ranked in the top 50 of the 2,700 plus teams, earning the title of world champions in 2011, 2017 and 2019. Each year, the team is challenged to raise $60,000 or more to cover program expenses. You can donate by going to the Team 973/Greybots home page.
