Grammy Winning artist to perform at Colony Market & Deli after 5th annual Tamale Festival

Following the 5th Annual Tamale Festival in Atascadero this Saturday, January 18th, festival goers can enjoy live music from Grammy Winning legend, Louie Ortega. Ortega is scheduled to play a free show for all ages from 5-7 pm at Colony Market and Deli’s (Colony) “Colony Concert Series” located at 6040 El Camino Real, Atascadero,CA across from the Carlton Hotel.

Atascadero is quickly becoming a go to destination for events, music, food and drinks. This free concert is part of a series of shows slated for Saturday evenings. “We are thrilled to have Louie grace our stage, and think he is a perfect way to wind up the Tamale Festival,” said Joanna Wemple, Co-Owner of Colony. “He is such a tremendous talent and an absolute joy to watch perform.”

Ortega is internationally known for his performance and translation of “Soy de San Luis” with the Texas Tornados which won the band a Grammy in 1990. He is a consummate entertainer that audiences of all ages and musical taste absolutely adore. His smooth vocals and easy yet fortifying guitar licks are unmistakable and will keep audiences in his trance.
