Waste Management offers easy way for residents to dispose of extra waste at no cost

ATASCADERO — Waste Management and the City of Atascadero will be hosting a drop-off event for Atascadero residents throughout the month of October to easily dispose of extra waste and bulky items at no additional cost.

Items can be dropped off through the month of October, Monday through Saturday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Chicago Grade Landfill, 2290 Homestead Rd., Templeton.

This event is open to residents of Atascadero only and proof of address will be required. Residents will need to present voucher upon drop-off. Vouchers can be requested by calling 805-466-3636 or visiting the local Waste Management office at 8740 Pueblo Ave., Ste B, Atascadero.

Accepted items:
• Household waste, including sofas, small household appliances, loose items need to be bagged
•Green waste
•Scrap metal (must be separated)
• Hazardous Waste (only accepted on Saturdays between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.)

Non-Acceptable items:
• Construction debris from commercial construction
• Commercial landscape debris
