ATASCADERO — On Monday, Aug. 5, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to a solo rollover accident in Atascadero. 

At almost 1 p.m. on Monday, Jeffery Sunderland (46) of San Luis Obispo was driving his 2003 GMC Sierra southbound US-101, just north of Del Rio at 65 Miles Per Hour (MPH). According to CHP, Sunderland lost control of his vehicle, allowing it to veer off into the right hand shoulder, causing his truck to roll over and acsend down a ravine.

Sunderland did not sustain any injuries and impairment was not a factor in the collision. According to CHP, they are unaware of what made the Sunderland lose control of his vehicle.
