TEMPLETON — A Templeton motorcyclist was hospitalized with major injuries after a crash Friday morning, Sept. 11, on Highway 101 near the San Anselmo overpass in Atascadero.

California Highway Patrol reported that Jack Anthony Slemmer, 31, was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo.

At approximately 9:20 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, Slemmer was riding his 2001 Harley-Davidson Super Glide Sport motorcycle south on Highway 101 near the San Anselmo Avenue overpass at a high rate of speed, CHP reported.

Slemmer reportedly experienced a “high-speed wobble” and was unable to maintain control of his motorcycle. As a result, he went down and was ejected from the motorcycle. Slemmer came to rest in the fast lane of the highway.
