ATASCADERO — The City of Atascadero’s Recreation Division is excited to offer a new fitness program for middle school boys and girls. Space is limited.
This activity will offer a safe and fun environment for basic stretching, cardio, balance and strength training while listening to some high-energy music. This 4-week activity is for all fitness levels and will encourage teens to get up, get out and get active. Participants will be put into groups of 10 or less with one instructor.
COVID-19 guidelines will be strictly followed for this activity. Staff will be required to wear masks and have their temperature taken before each class. Every teen will have an activity station, spaced at least 6 feet apart, and will not share equipment. The program will run Nov. 17-Dec. 17 — no meeting the week of Thanksgiving — on Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30-4:30 p.m. All training will take place outdoors at the Colony Park Community Center.
Registration is open now. The fee is $40 per teen (non-resident add $7.50) and includes a Teen Center Membership or Membership Renewal when the Teen Center opens again.
