Inaugural fundraiser set for May 18 at the Zoo Garden Event Center, rallying the community to support students, teachers, and local classrooms
ATASCADERO — The Committee for Atascadero Public Schools (CAPS) is bringing back a community-driven event: the highly anticipated Bingo Bash. Scheduled for Sunday, May 18, from 1:30 to 5 p.m. at the Atascadero Zoo Garden Event Center, this fundraiser promises an afternoon filled with fun, excitement, and community spirit — all for an essential cause.
Founded in 2007, CAPS has donated over $900,000 directly to the Atascadero Unified School District (AUSD). These crucial funds have supported essential classroom supplies, innovative educational programs, teacher resources, and student enrichment opportunities. As schools statewide face financial pressures, community support has become more vital than ever. CAPS is determined to surpass a significant milestone this year by raising over $1 million to continue making a direct and lasting impact on local education.
“We’re incredibly proud of what CAPS has achieved since we started in 2007,” said Carrie White, president of CAPS. “This year, our community has an extraordinary opportunity to help us reach that magical $1 million mark. Every ticket purchased, auction item bid on, and bingo game played at our event will directly benefit the classrooms, teachers, and students of our community.”
CAPS warmly invites students, families, local businesses, and community members to unite behind Atascadero schools by attending this spirited, family-friendly event featuring games, prizes, and engaging auction items contributed by AUSD schools and generous local partners. They will have food and beverages available for purchase and for all to enjoy.
Join the excitement, support your schools, and help CAPS achieve this historic goal — every game counts, and every ticket makes a difference.
