The Music Festival is a one-day event on July 4 at Atascadero Lake Park

ATASCADERO — The 6th Annual Fourth of July Music Festival is set to kick off the 50th celebration of Atascadero Colony Days on Monday, July 4, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Atascadero Lake Park. The event promises an evening of music, food, drinks, vendors, family fun, amusements, and playground activities, all taking place in the scenic lakeside setting under the shade of giant oak trees.

The festival will showcase a variety of Americana music genres, including folk, gospel, country, blues, rhythm and blues, rock and roll, and more. This year, the concert serves as the official kickoff for the 50th Celebration of Atascadero Colony Days, a longstanding tradition that brings the community together to celebrate the spirit and unique identity of Atascadero.

The music lineup features three acts. Starting at 4 p.m., Actual Grass, a group of talented musicians passionate about traditional bluegrass, will take the stage. They will be followed by 4 on the Floor Dance Band, a high-energy ensemble known for their blend of country, blues, rock, and jazz. The Atascadero Community Band will close the evening with its annual Patriotic Concert, paying tribute to veterans and active service personnel. Attendees are encouraged to wear military uniforms to show their support.

The festival encourages visitors to bring their own chairs, blankets, picnics, and other Fourth of July festivities to enjoy the performances at the beautiful Centennial Bandstand in Atascadero Lake Park. The event is free, but donations are welcome and will benefit Atascadero Colony Days.

The organizers express their gratitude to the sponsors who have made the event possible, including Avila Traffic, the City of Atascadero, Visit Atascadero, the Atascadero Printery, Hopper Media, Greenaway Appraisals, Grocery Outlet, and The Hope Chest Emporium.
