ATASCADERO — The City of Atascadero has unveiled a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the development of the Centennial Plaza Lots located at 5901 East Mall. This initiative presents a chance to unlock the full business potential of one of Downtown Atascadero’s prime locations, offering opportunities for restaurant, retail, entertainment, and more, with additional prospects for office and residential spaces on upper floors.

Situated in the heart of the Downtown Commercial Zone, these vacant lots stand adjacent to the historic City Hall and frame Centennial Plaza, offering proximity to Atascadero Creek and the Sunken Gardens, where a plethora of events take place throughout the year.

Spanning between a City-owned public parking lot, East Mall Avenue, and a pathway paralleling Atascadero Creek, the Centennial Plaza Lots consist of two parcels: one measuring 75 feet wide and 100 feet deep northeast of Centennial Plaza and the other 25 feet wide and 100 feet deep on the southwest side of the plaza. Although adjacent properties are privately owned, developers have the option to explore acquisition as part of this venture.
