Chamber of Commerce to present town-hall style meetings for City Staff and Council Members

The Atascadero Chamber of Commerce is putting on its second annual Talk on the Block Series. These town-hall style meetings give City Staff and Council Members an opportunity to interact with residents of Atascadero, hear what’s on their minds and give an overview of city statistics, plans and vision. These meetings connect City officials with members of the community so that they can better serve their constituents.

Talk on the Block originated last year and was met with much success. The casual forums were held at various locations around the city in order to make it convenient for community members to attend. The meetings begin with a presentation from the city and then opens up for residents to ask questions about any topic related to the City of Atascadero.

Along with City Staff, some or all of the City Council members may attend to learn from the community, but no council discussion or decisions will be made at these meetings. They will be informal, information-sharing-and-gathering sessions only, for residents to learn about the City and their own community, and for City staff and Council members to learn from residents about what’s on their minds.

Each of these neighborhood meetings will begin at 6:00 p.m., scheduled as follows:

February 12th – ABC Church at 6225 Atascadero Avenue.

February 24th – United Methodist Church at 11605 El Camino Real

February 27th – Community Church of Atascadero at 5850 Rosario Ave.

These informal and informational gatherings are not limited by neighborhood and we hope Atascadero residents take whichever of these opportunities is most convenient, to come and share their ideas and to ask questions about our community. Please plan to join us for one or more of these sessions.

Please contact the Chamber or email info@atascaderochamber.org for additional information.
