“The Scout leaders are amazing people. What they do to help these kids continue in their endeavors is amazing,” stated Marple.

SLO County Supervisor Debbie Arnold, Atascadero City Councilmember Mark Dariz, and Marple presented the Eagle and Girl Scouts with their awards.

“It was an honor to have them present,” Maple said of Arnold and Dariz’s roles that evening. “That was really awesome of them to be here.”

Atascadero Elks Lodge #2733 has a long-standing tradition of supporting local Scout Troops.

“We’ve always supported the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts for as long as I can remember,” added Marple. “By supporting them, we let them use our building, our conference room for their meetings, and we’ve always included them in our events. Any way we can help them to support their cause, we do it.”
