ATASCADERO — The City of Atascadero and the Atascadero Mutual Water Company (AMWC) are calling for volunteers for the 28th Annual Atascadero Creek and River Cleanup Day on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. This annual event aims to keep Atascadero Creek, the Salinas River, and community pathways clean and inviting.

Volunteers should check in at 9 a.m. at the AMWC Yard, located at 6575 Sycamore Road, where they can choose or be assigned to a cleanup location. Participants are asked to bring work gloves, buckets, sturdy closed-toe shoes, and water bottles.

This important effort helps protect Atascadero’s groundwater aquifers by maintaining clean waterways. Community members are encouraged to take part in this impactful event.
