These funds will play a pivotal role in ensuring that ALF’s clients have access to nourishing holiday meals
ATASCADERO — On Wednesday, Nov. 15, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Wild Fields Brewhouse, located at 6907 El Camino Real in Atascadero, is joining hands with the ALF Food Pantry, formerly known as Atascadero Loaves and Fishes, to sponsor a fundraiser. This initiative aims to provide holiday meals to ALF’s clients residing in Atascadero, Templeton, Santa Margarita, Creston, and California Valley.
During this event, Wild Fields Brewhouse will generously donate a percentage of ALF supporters’ tabs to the organization. These funds will play a pivotal role in ensuring that ALF’s clients have access to nourishing holiday meals, fostering a sense of community and support during the festive season.
In 2022, ALF Food Pantry made a significant impact by distributing over 250 tons of nutritious food, equivalent to 306,000 meals. ALF’s clients come from diverse backgrounds, including older adults living solely on social security, parents dealing with disabilities, part-time or contract workers, and individuals facing crises such as hospitalization, layoffs, homelessness, or reduced working hours. A striking statistic is that almost half of the recipients are children.
In 2024, ALF Food Pantry is poised to celebrate its 40th anniversary of providing groceries to community members who are food-insecure. It’s worth noting that ALF is the largest all-volunteer organization in San Luis Obispo County.
ALF Food Pantry operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and contributions to the cause are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. No goods or services were provided in exchange for the donations.
Your participation in this fundraiser can make a significant difference in the lives of those facing food insecurity in our community. Join Wild Fields Brewhouse on Nov. 15 and be a part of this heartwarming initiative.
