ATASCADERO — Get ready for a weekend of family-friendly fun at the 7th Annual Showdown Charity Cornhole Tournament, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus and the City of Atascadero. The event is set to take place on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 13 and 14, and promises to be a blast for participants and spectators alike.

On Friday, Oct. 13, the action kicks off with a Social Tournament in the scenic Sunken Gardens of Downtown Atascadero. Teams can check in at 11 a.m., and the 8-team Round Robin Toss begins at 12 p.m., running until 2 p.m. Bracket Finals take place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., offering cash prizes for the top four teams. To participate, teams are asked to make a $60 donation for their 2-person team entry fee (with a maximum of 32 teams).

The main event, “The Showdown,” happens on Saturday, Oct. 14, starting with check-in at 8 a.m. The day promises non-stop action with the 8-Team Round Robin Toss beginning at 9:30 a.m. and running until 12 p.m. Bracket Finals take place from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., with cash prizes awarded to the top four teams in both Social and Advanced Brackets. The entry fee for a 2-person team is $80, and all proceeds go toward supporting the North County Adaptive Sports and Recreation Program.
